Sometimes problems are so large and so complex it is hard to conceive of a good starting point for addressing them. Antimicrobial resistance fits this description. Despite this, there are undoubtedly thousands of efforts at improving antimicrobial use being made by individuals all over the planet and thousands more efforts that would be made given the opportunity. These people need a place to describe their efforts, be recognized for them and to find support.
The goals of the ISC Stewardship Inventory project are very simple. We aim to:
- spotlight the work of individuals and organizations who promote good use of antimicrobials
- develop an inventory of interested individuals and facilitate their interaction
- help increase awareness and response to the issue of antimicrobial misuse and resistance
